JBJS.org is the version of record of The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery. The Journal is published twice a month on the first and third Wednesday of each month, each time adding to a comprehensive PDF archive dating back to 1889. Additional features online include: JBJS Express, interactive commenting, social sharing links, instructional videos, image quizzes, podcasts, and continuing medical education activities.

Occasionally articles are published online only and therefore do not appear in the companion printed issue. All articles are chosen via the peer-review process. JBJS Express articles are published online before they appear in an issue. This process allows The Journal to bring new research and developments to subscribers in a more timely fashion.
