Iron deficiency and anaemia in heart failure

Cardiovascular diseases represent the most important cause of death in developed and in developing countries. Iron deficiency is one of the most important factors contributing to anaemia onset in patients with heart failure, and patients' quality of life can be improved independent of whether anaemia is present or not. Since this book was first published in spring 2009, new developments have received tremendous clinical interest.
